Spyder Roadster by Can-Am
The Can-Am Spyder is a three wheeled trike/motorcycle made by Can-Am of Bombardier. Bombardier is a world class manufacturer that produces a wide variety of transportation products through companies like Learjet, Sea-Doo, Ski-Doo, and Can Am. They also make passenger trains and locomotives. It goes without saying that Bombardier has unparalleled experience in a wide variety of vehicle manufacturing. Unlike most trikes, the Can-Am Syder has a single rear drive wheel and two wheels in front for steering. The Spyder comes equipped with traction and stability control, as well as anti-lock brakes. The Spyder has front and rear brakes which are both hooked up to a foot pedal. It has a true reverse gear, power steering and an optional electric shift transmission. Most States in the US license the Spyder as a motorcycle, although a motorcycle endorsement is not required in California and Delaware, helmet laws apply.
The Spyder has plenty of storage space that includes a compartment under the hood on the front of the vehicle. Saddle bags, top boxes and other accessories for the Spyder are also available. Fun Facts: On February 9, 2007, the Spyder was officially launched by BRP dealers after development assisted by the very owner of this site! In September, the first full-production Spyder from the assembly line in Valcourt, Québec was made and in October, Spyder serial number 001 was delivered to Jay Leno!

Can-Am has two models of the Spyder Roadster for 2012. The Spyder RS is the sporty model and comes in two different versions.The Spyder RT is built more for touring and comes in 4 different versions.
The 2012 Spyder RS
The Spyder RS is the entry level base model for the more fancy Spyder RS-S. The Spyder RS comes in Steel Black Metallic and Pearl White Metallic.

The 2012 Spyder RS-S
The Spyder RS-S is a sporty model for those looking for something more fancy than the Spyder RS. More options and colors are available with the RS-S. The RS-S comes with two tone paint schemes which include variations of black and Neutron Green Metallic, Can-Am Red and Pure Magnesium Metallic.
The Spyder RS-S model also has many great accessories so you can dress it up whichever way suits your style or needs.

The 2012 Spyder RT
The 2012 Spyder RT is geared more for comfort and touring. It comes in four different packages. As you move up in options and comfort, the packages include the RT, the RT Audio & Convenience, the RT-S and the RT Limited, each coming with more options that the last.
Each of the four different RT models come with different paint schemes and colors to set them apart from the other RT models.
Even though the RT model comes stock with many great features, there are still many you can add. Even the RT Limited leaves you room to make your Spyder unique and expressive of your particular style of riding.

All 2012 models come with a 998cc V-twin and an option for two different transmissions which include the SM5 Manual transmission, and the SE5 semi-automatic transmission.
